Who we are

E-web UK ("we", "us") is a web design and development studio based in the UK. We are the data controller for personal data collected through e-webuk.com. You can contact us about anything on this page at enquiries@e-webuk.com or 07747 887 140.

What we collect

  • Enquiries: when you use our contact or quote forms, email or call us, we collect your name, email, phone number, company and whatever you tell us about your project.
  • Newsletter: if you sign up, we keep your email address so we can send you updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Clients: when we work together we hold contact, billing and project information needed to deliver the work.
  • Technical data: our hosting provider logs standard information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to keep the site secure and working.

Why we use it (lawful basis)

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare quotes: legitimate interests and steps taken before entering a contract.
  • To deliver and invoice the work: contract.
  • To keep accounting records: legal obligation.
  • To send our newsletter: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To keep the website secure: legitimate interests.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share it only with providers who help us run the business, such as our website and email hosting (20i, UK), and our accounting and payment providers, and only as far as they need it. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts and code libraries from jsDelivr, which receive your IP address when your browser requests those files.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted after 24 months. Client and financial records are kept for 6 years after the end of the financial year, as required by HMRC. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to how we use it, and ask for a copy in a portable format. To make a request, contact us at enquiries@e-webuk.com or 07747 887 140. We will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
